Club Foundation
Rotarians are known for their generosity of service in time and talent throughout their communities. At the Rotary Club of Tulsa, our members are equally generous in their support of both Rotary International's foundation, The Rotary Foundation, and our own Club's local foundation, the Rotary Club of Tulsa Foundation ("Club Foundation"), formerly Tulsa Rotary Community Fund.
The Rotary Foundation provides funds to support humanitarian, educational, and cultural exchange programs and to eradicate diseases such as polio worldwide.
Locally, our Club Foundation is also working wonders. Rotary Club of Tulsa Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization (FEIN 23-7225396), and provides a means for Rotarians to give financial assistance to worthy organizations located primarily in Tulsa and surrounding communities. Among them, are cash grants we make to help local charitable causes. Since inception in 1972, the Club Foundation has given over $1 million back to the Tulsa community. Examples of organizations that have benefited from these funds include: Tulsa Boys' Home, The Little Light House, Girl Scouts-Magic Empire, Operation Aware, Up With Trees, YMCA, Salvation Army, DVIS, Neighbor for Neighbor, and Special Olympics.
The Club Foundation also supports special international projects such as our Nicaraguan Water Well drilling project, which brings potable water to impoverished communities in Nicaragua. We have also helped support other international projects such as Medical Supplies Network, Alliance for Smiles, and Heifer International.
how grants are funded
Grants are provided from the earnings generated on the $2 million Club Foundation corpus. The Club Foundation grows from generous contributions by Rotarians and individuals as well as the Club's signature fundraising event, the annual Henry P. Iba Citizen Athlete Awards.
Organizations interested in applying should review our guidelines and then complete and submit a Club Foundation grant application. The Club Foundation grant application may be obtained by contacting the Rotary Club of Tulsa office, or by downloading the MS Word® document or PDF here.
